From bald heads to quantum cryptography 1: The past
Main hall
Altair
(until 21:45)
In the first part of the fly-through of cryptography as a field, we look at the past. What is cryptography and how was it born? How do the bald heads relate to it? What cryptographic algorithms were used from ancient times until relatively recently, when electronic computers revolutionized cryptography? Is it even possible to create a cryptographic algorithm that you can use without a computer and yet it resists the use of computers?
- 22:30
-
How a Puppy Got a Red Bull Machine and Made It Accept Bitcoin
Main hall
Štěně
(until 23:30)
A fun and inspiring story about how I first tried to get rid of a Red Bull vending machine, then decided to keep it, and when that got boring, I taught it to accept cryptocurrencies. Sit back, relax, and join me on an adventurous journey through technical challenges—from running bitcoin full nodes to losing satoshis in third-party apps. And if you stay until the end, you'll discover the creation of the first vending machine that not only accepts cryptocurrencies exclusively but also operates as a Lightning Network transaction node.

Custom Vision 101 - hands on lab
Main hall
stepanb
(until 16:30)
Join our hands-on session to learn how to create a custom vision model using Azure Custom Vision with LEGO bricks. Capture images with your mobile phone, train the model, and deploy it for real-world applications. Ideal for developers and AI enthusiasts, no prior experience with Azure or machine learning is needed. Bring your mobile phone and a basic understanding of programming concepts. By the end, you'll be equipped to create and deploy custom vision models.
- 17:00
-
Plugged In: The DIY Teledildonics Revolution
Main hall
Thebys
(until 18:00)
Step into the world of teledildonics and learn how to build your own interactive pleasure systems using accessible tech like ESP32, Bluetooth LE, and open-source software such as Intiface and Buttplug.io. This sig will take you on a journey through the components of a modern teledildonic system, the best toys and software to use, and how to bring it all together in a way that's as fun as it is functional. For the daring, a live demo with a brave volunteer will showcase just how hands-on (or hands-off!) this tech can be. Whether you're curious, creative, or just craving innovation, this talk will leave you inspired to explore new frontiers in personal technology.

From bald heads to quantum cryptography 2: The present
Main hall
Altair
(until 21:00)
The second part of the lecture will deal with contemporary cryptography. You use it practically all the time, even if you usually don't know about it at all. What algorithms are in use today, why and how? How are they actually created? How are today's ciphers being broken and how to defend against it?
- 21:30
-
From paper role to a table napkin
Main hall
Max
(until 22:30)
Do you want to know, how paper napkins are made? The mundane object you probably use without thinkng is actually fairly complex to manufacture. Just folding them is a process far from trivial. Max will walk you trough the process it takes to convert role of paper to pack of tissues.

Tails - The Amnesic Incognito Live Operation System
Main hall
Altair
(until 15:00)
Tails is not - as the name might suggest - a furry Linux distribution. This distribution protects your privacy by connecting you to the network via TOR and forgetting everything when you shut it down. In this talk I will show you how to install Tails on a flash drive and how to use it.

From bald heads to quantum cryptography 3: The future
Main hall
Altair
(until 18:00)
The final part of the lecture will try to look into the future. What changes will quantum computing bring? Will we be able to keep secrets after the advent of quantum computers? What is post-quantum cryptography? But the bigger danger is political restrictions. Can we resist them too?

Sous vide
Main hall
stepanb
(until 22:00)
In this session, we'll dive into sous vide cooking, a technique that involves cooking food in a vacuum-sealed bag submerged in water at a precise temperature. We'll cover the essential devices, like immersion circulators, and how they maintain the perfect temperature for even cooking and enhanced flavors. By the end, you'll know how to use sous vide to elevate your culinary skills.
